54 Movies

I lifted this from Baboon Pirates. See link at the bottom.

Here’s a complete waste of time, courtesy of Oddybobo and copied almost in its entirety from Elisson's site. How's that for concentrated laziness? It’s a Movie Meme, though I have to say the list is heavy on recent horror/kiddie/teenybopper fare, and light on classics and particularly westerns.

The rules are simple: Copy the list of movies below and mark off the ones you’ve seen. Add ’em up, and include the number in your post title. How easy is that?

Highlight the ones you’ve seen in boldface, should you feel like playing.

According to the meme progenitors, if you've seen over 85 movies, you have no life. My total is 116, but I freely admit to having no life!

  1. Uh oh!

I didn't add them up, but I would have bolded LOTS more than what were bolded!

    I have no life :)

I will say that 3/4 of those movies I have seen with my children tho, so I have a pretty good non life :)

  2. Ronni, I truly have no life. My total was 92 of those on the list. Since we got the Buffalo DVD thingy, we've been spoiled.

Hub's Dad tranfers his already existing collection and new ones from cable he records, plus the Netflix movies.

He's sent us more than 2,000 movie files so far.

  3. Well, There Will Be Blood was not on the lisp! We rarely go into SLO anymore for the art theater where all the good ones play as we are lax and lazy and prefer waiting for the DBEEDEE to come from netflips. I will go bach and review your lisp. Alot of yours agree with mine as in the Ring, but not the ringII. Hugely depended on my marriage-partner at the time. As per:
In NY there were a lot of plays and a lot of movies. I wanted the plays. He wanted the movies. I basically taught him to start reading actual books. That wood be the '70's and 80's.
CO/CA marriage was a completely rural and ranch oriented experience. No TEEBEE, no movies, a lot of books and taking classes of Bronze casting, painting, Spanish, Entrepreurism, Starting the Organic Farm, which he is now growing grapes instead of herbs. I did not mind that at all as I was wildly in love with that N-butt. I still would not trade my experiences in nature and total meditative self-knowing peace.

Currently, we are still learning things each day in a different way. We occasionally work up the fervor to see a movie. We read incessantly, we do x-werds ( I hooked John on them when he had his feet both sturgeoned) It is often hard for him to sit still, so this is good for him. We enjoy classical, contemporary and funk, not to mention jazz and makin-woopee. Perhaps on muh MOP blob I will get around to posting a new list. We enjoy Frasier reruns, the politically incorrect vintage comedies of the '50's, X-flies, Up till now that Island missing deal. oh and of course Boston Legal. It is all on Dee bee dees as we will knot watch any commercials. We have already voted (weeks ago) and like strong coffee. I still smoke those cigarettes and send karmic judo-kudos to those of you hoo have quit. We will see what evolves on my blob while VA is here. She has seen every movie ever made and has quite a life. Motherhood, wife-hood, working freelance as a web manager, making jewels, being sleep deprived and painting, skiing, snow-boarding and coming to see her mommy. She is a high-energy multi-taxer. God Bless Youth. Sayonara till another day. I also saw the first Pirate movie and took my grandson, now almost ten to his first movie when he was 2. It was the Tigger one.
There is a time and place for everything one wants or need to do, as long as one is open to the adventure. xxoo

  4. Well I scored over 100, and I didn't count that more than several of them I have seen more than once in the theaters.

I have admit to being a film lover and if that is no life than that is someone opinion, but not mine.

I was interested in the fact that there were so many movies not listed. Casablanca, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Gone with the Wind, and many other classics. This seemed like a list geared to recent movies.

  5. Yes. As I saw many more movies when it only cost 75 cents to go than I do now, there are hundreds on my list that are not there. What about "The Man Who Would Be King?" or "The Lion in winter?" Or "A Man for All Seasons?" All of which were superb. Or "Patton" or "The Great Escape?"
