Costume Return Update

I guess Ramona's cussing worked! The guy walked in the shop today and dropped the stuff on the counter and walked out. Fortunately, it was all there. I remembered helping him pick it out, once I saw him. He had gone as John Wayne in whichever movie in which he wore the eye patch.

He didn't hang around for me to check it all in, but I sure don't blame Ramona for being upset. He had our best big John Wayne hat, a lovely leather vest, and a hand-tooled leather holster with a toy gun large enough to fit. A couple of other odds and ends, too, but that was the expensive part.

Ramona had sort of mixed feelings about it, as she is, of course, glad to get the costume pieces back, but a bit chagrined that her own bad behaviour was rewarded.

I'm still tickled by her "you tell him he's fckn pissn ME off!"

  3. We don't do late fees. However, it will be a cold day in hell before he gets out of the shop with another costume!

  4. Such a pity about those late fees, Ronni. I'd bet my last dollar that he ran before he was asked to pay more money.

This was the perfect way for him to return the costumes with no explanation. I would have given him a swift kick in his A-ring if I had been near the door. You know, that feeling that he didn't get away with it, entirely. See how it feels to have to sit on a rubber ring. LOL

  5. Ohhhh grrrrr... It is, certainly at times, a world filled with people out for themselves. At least that is my terrible take on it this morning.

  7. I am amazed at no late fess - I have been known to pay more in late fees than the original cost of the DVD rental -- more than once! Sloth is expensive.

As to your hand-basket... May as well make the best of a bad situation - or itinerary.

Count me in .. at least the butter will be pre-melted.

    :-)
