Cue Lugubrious Music

The dread holidays approacheth.

I am actually going to try to decorate this year, or at least, put up a tree. That is going to take a massive effort to clear out my living room and do something, no matter how temporary, about the floor.

I wish I could just schlep the antiques off to whoever is going to be their final recipient, but I haven't heard from the Court yet, or my lawyer, or anyone. I heard it was on the docket over a month ago, and since then, nothing.

Meanwhile, I am tempted to get a storage unit, and have movers come and put the stuff there. I know it would use money I could put to better use, but I'm 58 years old, and most of my friends are in the same range. We are all a bit "up there" to be hauling pianos around.

My house is such a disgusting mess that I hate to open the door, and Brendan must feel the same.

I skipped over Thanksgiving, but I want Christmas.

  1. just let us know when you want to start moving things. Thanks for helping Don with his Blogging. as a result I now have a blog sight and name. We can be there by 6pm today if you want to move things Monday. I told you we would not leave you alone with the house in a mess. I would love to have things better for Christmas Betty

  2. Same here, just let me know and I will bring strong backs and weak minds (if you want) to help rearrange and decorate. I also have some things Sharon sent for an extra blessing ;).

  4. Look how quick the chicks get it together. Gosh women are amazing.

You get things just the way you want them Ronni.

I live with a hoarder and it is the pits, I have to have major cleanup, at least once a year, or otherwise it does my head in, I actually had a bit of a gripe at him yesterday, because he was complaining, because the kids won't do a thing around the place, and I let him know that cleaning the mess up that he makes is hardly entertainment and they are over it as well, and it is unfair that he makes a mess and then expects people to help him clean it up.

Good luck Ronni, and to Betty and Lynn, you are great mates.

    You go girls.

  6. Morning, Ronni!

Storage is only about £5 per week over here. I think it will be worth the extra money to be able to move around freely, as well as have some friends over.

I think I have lost all access to Kodakgallery...I'm fuming!

  7. Yeah, and thanks for explaining about the "Nickname" thing.

As you can see I got a little confused. Now I'm back.

I know you told me when rehearsals are going on but I forgot. Have you started?

  8. Yup. Last week.

It's a very physical show, and I think I'm going to wind up in a brawl sometime in the third act...

  9. This is all rather frustrating. Hopefully, this stupid machine will have righted itself before the pictures are up.

Sounds like something you can really get your teeth into. Hurray!

  10. Great idea about the storage, Ronni. You could maybe even charge the storage fee to the estate, so it could eventually come out of the inheritor's pocket not yours. Or something like that.
