Cream Revival

I'm watching a Cream reunion concert on PBS.

They still sound pretty good. Clapton has been in the public eye all along, and doing very well, but we haven't heard much from Jack Bruce or Ginger Baker. Well, I haven't, anyway. After Cream broke up, Eric and Ginger picked up a new bassist (I think Rick Gretch was his name), and went on tour as Blind Faith, with Delaney and Bonnie and Friends as the opening act. Clapton joined that group for a few years, and I heard that Ginger Baker went to Africa to soak up some real drumming. I have no idea what happened after that.

Looking at them nearly 40 years later, Jack Bruce looks a little ragged and wild, and Ginger Baker, who was a bit raddled back in 1969 or 70 when I saw Blind Faith, looks damn good, though his hair is quite grey.

They may not be the Rolling Stones, but I like them still.
