Blowing My Own Horn

My mom frowned on "blowing one's own horn."

Still, my mom is not here. And I just got a comment from a person who has read my entire blog in one day.

She must be bored at work.

That led me to read some old entries. In June of 2006, I posted that I had 20-30 steady readers each day.

I checked my recent stats (which I rarely do), and discovered that I now have an average of 100 readers every day.

In this day and age, where time is our most precious commodity, 100 or so of you spend a few minutes with me each day.

Thank you so very much!

  1. See? I told you that you were your own worst critic! I'm glad that someone out of the blue has made you feel better about yourself, by helping you see what a positive effect you have on so many lives everyday.
I am so sorry about your kitty. We have had to go through similar things with pets a few times, and it is always heartbreaking. Now that its cold outside, brew yourself a good cup of coffee just the way you like it, and enjoy. But NOT at night. You need your sleep. Much love, tracie

  4. Wow, Ronni! I better start behaving myself. Shucks!

To be honest, I'm not surprised there are so many people reading your blog on a regular basis. This place eloquently puts into words, everything you will ever think or feel.

I LOVE it here! As you know.

  5. Hey Ronni, in the days of yore when I wa with my dad in La bell Suisse, he took moi up on a montain for that experience of fondu. This included the opportunity to blow on that swiss horn. He had my picture taken doing same and sent it to moi at my boarding school. Caption was:
She sho tooteth not her own horn, the same shall not be tooted. So keep on tooting deario. It pays off in the end!

  6. It wasnt a boring day at work, I was reading your blog and have spent the rest of the week catching up lol. Fortunately I can look busy at work with my privacy screen on without people knowing what I am really doing.

You DO have an awesome blog.

  7. Thanks, Melissa! I don't mean to be so self-deprecating. I know it's a bad habit...
