Busy!
I took down the nasty curtains that Addy had hung in her bedroom. She had some of those awful orange drapes from the 70s with the white plastic caked on the back. She liked the light blocked, and so did Jim. I'm content with the neighbours not being able to see in. I went and got 12 yards of $1/yd fabric and draped it over the curtain rod. Tomorrow, in daylight, I'll cut off the end and do the other window. It's sort of semi-sheer light teal.
I also tidied up a corner of the dining room, removing boxes that had been sitting there since we moved in.
We are getting there.

Good morning, Ronni.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for Jimmy. A good man who obviously cares about your welfare.
You are never far from my thoughts.
We shall see how the other one turns out. It's a 30 x 60 (approx) vertical window. At least it has a blind in it, which I shall have to replace, but for now, the cheap fabric from Walmart will do the trick.
ReplyDeleteJimmy is pretty cool.
Ronni, that looks so beautiful. And, letting the light in is an excellent idea.
ReplyDeleteI think that beautifying your surroundings and adding a new flair to your home environment is just what the doctor ordered.
Fantastic!
Baby steps.
ReplyDeleteGreat!!!! Love the color looks good with Mo's eyes Which corner in the dinning room. good for you. Betty
ReplyDeleteThe one where the ironing board WAS.
ReplyDeleteStill haven't found the blue castor set, but progress is being made...
What a great idea - so creative, but then that is what you are.
ReplyDeleteWho says something has to be expensive to look good.
I love the color, too.
You've inspired me to tackle my living room windows. I like the drape of the fabric you chose.
ReplyDeleteRonni, I'm glad you're doing this. It's good for your soul.
I'll post a pic later of the corner of the room, now that I've rearranged the furniture a bit. The rest of the room is still a mess, but, baby steps, right?
ReplyDeleteLOL!
