Betty and Don are building me a cat yard. It's a little fenced-off area for the cats to go outside. That way, I won't have to leave the door to the sun porch ajar so that they can get to the litter boxes (plural).
There is a door on the south-east side of the house that I never use. It opens to the side yard, next to the AC unit and electric meter and breaker box. We can include the AC unit inside the cat yard, and fence the meter box on the outside of it so that the meter reader can do his or her job without risking a feline escape.
The cats are going to love it.
Ronni, that's a wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteBetty and Don are The Bomb!
Of our four cats, 3 of them seem happiest when they can be outside most of the time. One is always outside, he gets claustraphoebic.
Your cats are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWon't they jump the fence though?
Hopefully not because cats are definitely safer inside most of the time although it is great if they would potty outside, right?
My inside cat liked to go out, but she stayed close to home.
Have a good week and hope most things get resolved soon.
At least one of them probably won't go out at all. At the top of the fence, there will be an extra foot or so of wire, mounted so that it slants inward. I'm pretty sure they can't get over that.
ReplyDeleteHi Ronnie, I have just come back from the post office it is midday Monday here, told them that you had not received my letter yet with the postal cheque, she told me that it can sometimes take two to three weeks, by post, and to let them know if you do not receive it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nadine, Betty and Don are the bomb. And I am sure that feel just the same way about you.
I hope things are starting to settle down a bit for you.
Morning, Ronni.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, making an area for the cats. I'm glad you have got someone to lighten your load.
