Elderstory

Even a Miata Can't Make Me Cool

I have the honour of having one of my stories used as the 100th story at Elderstorytelling.

Thanks to Ronni Bennett for coming up with a terrific idea and encouraging me by publishing my stories!

  1. Congratulations, Ronni!

That story made me bellow with laughter. It could only happen to you...

  2. I love it, and I think Pop Goes the Weasel was perfect.

  3. OMG! that is so funny... it was almost like telling him he was a "CHILD"...lol i hate when kids drive around like that ..i mean after all HOW can they hear a police or emergency vehicle if one is approaching?
Our town is trying to get a noise ordinance against it..the town next to us has already done so and is giving out tickets left and right! lol
    i say it's about time!

  4. These days, a lot of young people want elders to keep up and pregnant women to suck up their fat stomachs. These people don't think they should have to pull over for emergency vehicles. Many don't. I suppose that if the patient either inside or waiting for that ambulance was a family member of theirs, they might feel differently. Unless, of course, the patient was old or pregnant.

  5. After hearing Miata this, Miata that, I thought I would Google this car of yours, Ronni. Hey Missy, that is quite a sexy set of wheels. I'm guessing it doesn't quite purr like any of your cats...? Something a bit more throaty, I reckon.

Actually, I think that car really suits your personality....courageous, out there and doing it!

  7. Well, I didn't even think about looking at the price of the car. I wish my back would allow me to get in and out of a car like that. But, no, it won't.

I ride around in a little Peugeot 306. You probably don't even know what that looks like, but, I like something small and economical, 4/5 door car which is almost a hatch back, really.

It is looking a bit scruffy these days...think I will have to start looking for another little run around.
