More on the Petit Case

New Courant article.

This just gets worse and worse. Now this article is saying that one of the scum went out to buy cans of gasoline, and had to call his slime partner for directions back to the house.

Also, this little detail about the parole hearing:

While defending the board's decision to parole both men, Farr said Wednesday that the board had no idea a Superior Court judge had called Komisarjevsky a "cold, calculating predator" during a 2002 sentencing because a transcript of the sentencing was not included in his parole file, even though state law required it to be there.

Komisarjevsky was sentenced to nine years on those burglary charges, but served three before he was placed in a halfway house, where he met Hayes.

The parole board was not aware of news reports that described Komisarjevsky as wearing night goggles and slashing window screens during burglaries in the Cheshire and Bristol area.

So who can we fry for THAT little oversight? Because, if the tragedy that befell this family doesn't cause some changes in the way the prison/parole system works, there is going to be Hell to pay.

  1. After being tied and raped for 6 hours, the girls were awake and screaming as these Nazis poured gasoline and set them on fire.

    Once convicted, they should be executed immediately. No question of their guilt; they were caught at the scene. This 20 years of appeals nonsense is a racket of defense lawyers who dominate the legislatures and courts.

    They have a right to a speedy trial;
    WE HAVE A RIGHT TO SPEEDY JUSTICE.

  2. I am afraid I am in line for the necktie party on this one. These two should have been drowned at birth, and saved the Petits' lives.

  3. hey Ronni, i was just talking to someone about the death penalty tonight, seems our govenor judi rell is out for blood on this one!..from what i know about our state we have like 1 person on death row thats been there for years but according to my sources it looks like this one will go fast!..but i worry about Doc Petit, as incredible as this may sound, he is first and foremost a DR. and he took the hippocratic oath.. which states FIRST DO NO HARM...the death penalty might go against his grain..you just never know he is religious too so we may get a surprise. he might not look for revenge..im not a BIG death penalty person myself..BUT SOMETIMES...like this i think we should not waste money and just put a bullet in their brains and get it over with!..but remember one thing..THEY did it NOT their family's..you can't stop someone from doing what they want..and i feel sorry for the familes of the killers because they are being persecuted too...did you know they released a statement right away?..apologizing to the Petit family and friends..the hell they will go through though not anything like Doc's, wont be fun that's for sure..

  5. I noticed that Steve had shut down.

    Terri I have seen families pull together with strength and courage in the face of such unimaginable horror. The Hacking family in Utah, is a prime example. They convinced their brother to confess to the murder of his wife, and he is currently serving his sentence. The Death penalty was not an option.

    No matter how these cretins plead, there will be a Sentencing Phase of their trial. Now, I am not familiar with procedures in Connecticut, but in several other states, they allow what they call a Victim's Impact statement. The Doctor will be permitted to present a speech, detailing the effect of this crime on his life. He might be allowed to rant a bit at the beasts arraigned in court. If he cannot bring himself to ask for the Death Penalty, he can plead for Life at that time.

    Either way, those guys are dead meat. If they get Life, they will be in the general population, and somebody will whack them when nobody is looking. If they get Death, whoever whacks them will have to be a bit better organized and smarter. But there will be somebody who will become a little god in the prison there, if he can whack those two. And he won't give two hoots and a holler for the doctor's opinion.
