Isn't This Illegal?
This is a copy of an unsolicited fax received at my place of employment this week.
I cannot begin to tell you how angry this makes me!
As the former wife of a man who managed to get himself laid off from a $40,000 a year job in 1984, and was employed at $6.75 an hour when it came time to set the child support, I am somewhat familiar with the mindset of men who say, "Why should I share any of my money with that bitch!"
Never mind that "that bitch" was "my darling," that he would "love forever," not so very long before.
We have all heard stories of wives who have loved, honoured and cherished their husbands, quitting school to put them through, moving away from their roots because their husbands got better job offers on the other side of the country, only to have the SOBs ditch them for younger women at the earliest opportunity.
Many of these men leave their wives and children on welfare because they refuse to provide for them. Businesses like this one show them how to do it.
Here is a blatant advertisement by an individual who makes a living from helping people cheat their spouses, creditors and Uncle Sam.
So, to whom should I report this?

If it isn't illegal it ought to be.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, I wonder if it's not a scam to get your money. Afterall, if you're already trying to hide money from a spouse what are you going to do? File a lawsuit against them? Admit you were trying to cheat your spouse?
Ronni, it seems like a scam to me. Greedy idiots will hand over access to their bank accounts to this company.
ReplyDeleteI'd report this to your District Attorney.
Also, is there a local news station that has a consumer advocate? Call them and tell them about it.
You are both probably right! Either way, I think I will email a copy (or mail it ) to the AG's office.
ReplyDeleteGood idea on the AG. Gotta love those unsolicited business faxes..........
ReplyDeleteHi Ronni!
ReplyDeleteI am catching on reading your blog. Great stuff! Pat has kept me very busy lately. :-)
I don't remember if I sent this to you already, but reading about this despicable "scam by fax"
brought it to mind. I just had a thought.. it could very well be a woman looking for a little payback who is running this scam. Just think of all the greedy little weasels willing to take the bait. LOL
Best,
Donna

"As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:
A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?", here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!"
Many of us are "off" dairy. Causes cancer, you know...
ReplyDeleteLaughing here!
LMBO!! Yes, I've heard that about dairy, too. I have to admit though, I do so enjoy sausage from time to time!
ReplyDeleteAs long as it's not turkey sausage!
