Abbreviated Preliminary Hearing

This story expands a little on the coverage of the bare-bones Preliminary Hearing. Bobby and Myisha both waived the Preliminary Hearing, so the case goes to a Grand Jury in ten days.

CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Prosecutors on Monday accused a woman of helping dispose of the body of a pregnant woman who authorities say was slain by her boyfriend, a police officer.

This is the one tiny snippet of information released this afternoon.

At the link, there are links to video footage.

How much do you want to bet that Bobby's lawyer will be trying to pin this on Myisha?

  2. Hey, Possum! Not so bad. Sitting here thinking of a million projects I can get into now that one of my jobs has shut down for a month...

  3. Ronnie, do you know if the women who helped Cutts with the body has any children of her own?

  4. She is reported to have one daughter, 11 or 12.

  5. She does have a daughter.

Interesting -- one of our student workers used to be good friends with that woman, Myisha, for years even up through 2 years after high school. Went to high school with both Cutts and Myisha. Said that Myisha always had a huge crush on Cutts. Funny, but I wondered about that -- when I was thinking "WHY would someone help with such a thing?"

  6. I suspected as much.

Poor, poor, Myisha! Bobby wouldn't give her the time of day, would he? Unless he was desperate! How could she compete with the pretty anglos he went after?

I once heard a really sad story about a desperate girl who lived here, and what the guy who knew she "liked" him put her through. It was disgusting!

OK, that's the last "Poor Myisha" you will hear from me. It does help me understand, sort of...

  8. Undying love?

Hey...I know what it's like to be in high school and have the irrepressible and unconcealable unrequited hots for a major athlete.

I would have done ANYTHING for a smile. I would have killed for a kiss.

Of course, 10 years later, not so much...

  9. If I were her, at this point, I'd turn state's evidence against him, or whatever it's called. I'd rat him out, in layperson's terms. Save myself, make a deal. Tell them whatever she knows -- if she does know all that much, that is.

What a damn mess she got herself into for such a scumbag.

  10. "Myisha, honey...I'll love you forever...we'll get married as soon as I get out of this...Just keep your moth shut, and we'll both be OK. They can't prove anything..."

Can you hear it? I can.

Will she buy it? I hope not.
