Each of these news sites contains multiple stories and videos.

Steve huff's crime blog has a very active comment section, where people will post the latest links (I got these news links there) and lots of commentary.

There is also a forum at Court TV. It has a thread for new links.

A lot of people showed up today for a search that had to be reined in, due to inclement weather, but not until after some cadaver dogs hit on a plot of earth with newly planted pot plants. I bet there were a few teenagers saying, "Oh, sh*t!" right about then. I wonder if they dog down below the "garden" to see if there was something for the dogs to hit on.

No word on the cellphone records, which were not requested until Monday, and no word on the DNA test of the baby found on a doorstep 45 miles away.

Why have we not seen pictures of Kelly Cutts? Here's an answer: why should we? We've only seen pictures of Jessie because she is missing, and of Nikki because...well...she is an actress slash model, and it is in her interest to put them out there.

My thoughts and those of many people around the country are with the family of Jessie Davis, hoping for her to be found safe and sound.

Here's the coverage from the local paper.

  1. You know, I lost my daughter for about 4 hours, one day. She was actually gone longer than that, but, I didn't know because I was asleep. She had climbed out her bedroom window during the night.

I had told her she could go to her friend's house the night before...well, you can obviously work out the scenario.

Let me tell you, I was frantic. Making arrangements for someone to be at home, while I went to every house, apartment and store in the neighbourhood. My only worry was where she was and what she was going through? Was she crying for me and I wasn't there to protect her?

I promise, I would not have noticed whether I got any sleep or not, had she been missing longer. That was physical agony.

She arrived home around midday yawning and apologising. She had sneaked out to her friend's house and fallen asleep (a friend I didn't know of). She only woke up at midday.

Sorry this is so long and drawn out...

Does anyone know how Cutts is spending his time?

  2. Sorry that should be "COULD NOT go to her friend's house the night before".

  3. Yup. Brendan is supposed to call me at or before midnight, if he is staying over at his friend's house. Sometimes he forgets. He has never given me a reason to ground him, but I'm fixin' to, if I don't get those calls!

I've added a new link at the bottom of the entry. This is to the local Canton paper website. They have a page for Jessie Davis stories.

  4. We have a rule in our house, that if you change your plans, it doesn't matter what time of night or day it is, we want to know.

I hope this family don't have to go through what Lori Hacking Parents and the Rocha's had to go through.

I know there are others as well that are going through this, but those cases in particular I thought about today when I saw the mother, and the sister.
