Jennifer Wix was last heard from by her family on March 25th of 2004. She and her daughter Adrianna were reported missing on the 27th of March.
Her boyfriend was vague about the car she supposedly got into, and the police were cursory in their search of the boyfriend's family home, where Jennifer and Adrianna had been staying.
When you read the words of Jennifer's mother, they will tear at your heart. Her emotions are so raw. It's a wound that will never heal until she finds out what happened to her daughter and granddaughter.
This case always reminds me of the Rachel Cooke case here in Georgetown a couple of years earlier. When there was a teaser in that case recently, I went looking for news about the Wix's.
Nothing.
No offense intended toward the local police in Crossplains TN, but why were they so quick to take the word of the boyfriend? I've heard that he was part of a prominent family, whereas Jennifer was not. Is this true? Are there still places where the police will say, "Oh, well, we don't need to search all these acres. There's no probable cause," when an inconvenient woman disappears? Is there no higher authority that can step in and say, "Sorry, Mr. Boyfriend, but we have to bring in some dogs and go over your entire acreage."
What does a mother have to do to get some justice for her daughter? The last people to see her should be the subject of a very intense investigation. From what I've heard, that never did happen.
If Mr. Boyfriend and his family had nothing to hide, why weren't they insisting the police search their entire property, just to be cleared of suspicion? Did they have something to hide?
None of these questions have been answered. Nor has the biggest one of all.
Where are Jennifer and Adrianna?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thank you for visiting my site and for leaving such an insightful comment. I appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great one!

How frustrating for the families of these defenceless women. Is there corruption involved here? Is there a different law for the wealthy? Looks like it!
ReplyDeleteMorning, Ronni.
I'm not close enough to the situation to really know, Mgt. But those who are closer seem to think so.
ReplyDeleteRonni, I emailed that police department once about this case and didn't even get the courtesy of a response. WTH? 48 Hours Mystery should do a piece on this and shine the light on LE there--NOT DOING THEIR JOBS!
ReplyDeleteLet's all visualize this case being solved immediately and those responsible being held accountable, including the LE that are seemingly doing NOTHING to help this mother and grandmother.
