Jasmine Update

Jasmine is going to need 30 weeks of chemotherapy.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation is not equipped to help the family in the way they need. Jasmine's soccer team is setting up an account to which people can donate, and which will be monitored by a local bank. I will post more info on this as I get it.

  1. Please let me know the details as soon as you get them, Ronni

Thirty weeks is a long time to go through Chemo, poor baby.

Anything I can do to help. Bless her heart!

  2. Turns out both my theatre arts teacher remembers Jasmine, plus she's on the prayer list at her church, so she was familiar with the situation. My principal was absolutly all for me getting my kids to make a banner for her too. Any fundraising info you find out, I'll make that info available to the people in LISD too.

If nothing else, hopefully she'll have the prayer and good energy of the kids of LISD behind her. Hopefully we can do more. :)

  4. Ronni, what are the family's needs? $$ for transportation, lodging, etc?

    Will their insurance cover treatments?

I would like to help financially with something.

  5. Was there a reason that LAF couldn't help? Are there other foundations, or what's that kids charity....St. Jude's?

  6. Mom's computer is on the blink, so I'm adding this link. This is a site offered by a non-profit organization that Heather is updating daily. She said mom could post it so that anyone who wants to keep up with the story can.

There is a link on the site for donations but they don't go to the family, they go to the operators of the website. I still have not heard anything about an account for donations for the family yet, but as soon as I do, either mom or I will post.

Thanks to all for their love and support.
