Sweet Home Baptist--Back in the Day
This has another denomination in it, now. It housed a Tai Kwan Do "academy" for years and years.
I thought about what the Lord would think of that, but, Sweet Home Baptist was a rowdy congregation at the best of times, so I'm sure the walls were used to raised voices.
The lovely new steps are relatively new, and there are some new plantings around it.
Thing is, it has train tracks to its left, and it's on the IH 35 access road, so it's not exactly in a quiet neighbourhood.
I like it. It's welcoming, especially since it got its new steps, and unpretentious.
I bet the members of Life Church, the denomination that worships there now, don't throw people out of the choir because the don't sing well. I bet they'd teach a person how to sing.
If I ever get Religion, I'll probably check them out.
