I have bought the definitive history of Round Rock. Written by Karen R. Thompson and Jane H. DiGesualdo, and published in 1985, it was accepted almost immediately as the authority. Remember that cemetery? The book lists every name on every grave that has a name, and gives its location. Now I shall be able to find that series of graves I was looking for.
The book is called "Historical Round Rock Texas," and I will enjoy rereading it after so many years. As I recall, it's a bit dry in places, but I'll try to fix that!
Writing a blog about it allows me to explore the facets of history that appeal to me and ignore those that don't.
Pretty much any passages I'll quote are from this source.
