Liberty Street House
Vanessa was born in this house, on Easter Sunday in 1981.
Melissa had come to stay till the baby was born. She had been there about a week, getting me to walk (quick march, actually) all over town, and saying, "I have to be home by Tuesday."
Sunday morning, we were decorating eggs (still), and another friend dropped in and asked, "When are you going to have that baby?" After a quick cramp, I said, "Today!" Lo, it was true!
It's a lovely three/two, built in maybe the 1920's on a large corner lot. It has a huge kitchen with east windows and more cabinets than even I could fill!
It was down this chimney that the birds came and made SSS feel like he had walked into a Hitchcock movie.

Now THAT is a cute house! It's got true "come in and relax" appeal.
ReplyDeleteSounds like lots of good memories were made there.
I'll have to take a picture from the Stone Street side. This one goes back quite a way, as well.
ReplyDeleteThe subsequent owners built a lovely deck.
