My Son, the Actor

I've been told that Neptune's Mom, over at the Slough of Despond, thinks my son looks like a girl.

Well, Neppy, at least he's human, and not a dog.

Why do you think he looks like a girl? Because he has long hair? Or because this is a SHOW SHOT? Do you know what a SHOW SHOT is, Neppy? It's a picture taken in order to record a moment in a STAGE PLAY. The picture is taken of the ACTOR, in CHARACTER, wearing STAGE MAKEUP. The character he was playing was a teenager cast as Hamlet in a play festival.

Do you get it now, Neppy (She-Who-Gives-Birth-To-Dogs)?

I wish you could all hear his lovely deep voice. He sure doesn't sound like a girl!

So nice of Anita Tension to delete your derogatory post, while QUOTING it!

You are a vile and despicable person, Neppy, to attack a young man at a vulnerable age.

  1. Hey Vero, my oldest son has even longer hair! I think he thinks it is making his degree in Philosophy more authentic. We have no clue what the heck he is going to do when he graduates next Spring with that aforementioned degree in Philosophy but he too has a big heart. I'll send you a picture of the motley crew I have over here. D"E"D is auditioning for Man of La Mancha. The song she has to sing is "It's all the Same". It is a tough one but she sounds great. Since she is only a freshman, she'll probably just get a side part but I think the director was quite impressed with her performance in "Little Shop of Horrors".

  2. Wishing "E" all the best of luck in her audition. We just did "Man of La Mancha" last season. If you saw the size of our stage, you'd know just what a miracle that was.

It's a beautiful show, and one I especially enjoyed costuming (except for the lead, who insisted on giraffe print and spandex, but I've already gone there).

Thanks for your comment! I am so fed up with the smutmongers!

  3. Hi Ronni,
You have a very handsome son!
Anyone with two functioning brain cells would know it's a show shot.
I would guess Neppy'sMom forgot to get her rabies booster. As rabid as she is, I'm thinking it's been too late for a long time.

  5. Consider the source (on BOTH counts!). 'Nuff said.

My daughter was in the theater and I remember the days of the stage make-up! To see her back stage after the show was quite shocking. She definitely didn't look like that on a normal day.

Your son is very handsome and you have a great deal to be proud of.

Stop reading over there. It's not healthy!

  6. Yeah, I know. I quit smoking, and I can quit reading at the Slough of Despond, right? Right!

  8. Hi D-Paula! My daughter also had a role in Little Shop of Horrors. She was Audrey. (The girl, not the plant.) The young man who played Seymour is now her fiance.

    Ah the memories!

  9. I think he looks very authentic. They had long hair back then, just like that (in Shakespeare's time.)

And for any loathsome turd who has no education - the men often played the women, too.

  10. He has also played "Bottom" In "A Midsummer Night's Dream,"

Make what you like of that, sloughsters!

    Thanks for all the compliments!

I think he's kind of cute, myself!
