Just look at all the creativity that has developed out of "Observations of a Misfit!"
Lisa, Country Gal, and I all freely admit that we would not have started blogging if it hadn't been for Loretta's blog.
I know in my case, it's a place to put all the stuff that's "off-topic" at "Misfits."
I'm not sure that "creativity" is really the word to apply to "Bogbusters," but, if it weren't for "Misfitting," they wouldn't be there. In that sense, they, too, are a spinoff.
Webster's defines "spinoff" as
"a secondary benefit, product, development, etc., as a television series built around a character in an earlier series."
So just where in there am I supposed to find an insult? That Loretta referred to our efforts as "spinoffs" is totally correct, according to the dictionary.
It's only in your mind,"anonymous," that
"In her eyes you are nothing but "spin offs", cheap copies, unoriginal people aping the great Low. She looks down on your weblogs and thinks you are pathetic little worms."
I give full credit to Bogbusters for the preceding quote.
Amen to that, Kez!
ReplyDeleteI know what is meant with the spin offs Ronni, but there is one spin off, that is SPUN OUT, and out of control.Made me feel muddled in the head and sick in the stomache, when something makes me feel like that, I don't go back for more. Thanks for the link to Kez's blog. Her blog is a cool spin off, and she follows some of the cases that I am interested in that are happening in my country.
ReplyDeleteShe does have a good take on crime. Her blog reminds me of Trench's "News of Doom."
ReplyDeleteYour blogs are great!
ReplyDeleteI have no cats or horses to photograph, or plays to perform.
Your blog is fun, Vero. I think your writing is very good, too.
If you write about something you love, it's bound to be interesting, if only to those who love something similar.
ReplyDeleteI love words, among other things.
In case you hadn't noticed.
