Gene is our Legal Counsel. It's very nice to have Legal Counsel who will actually get on stage and have fun. It's even nicer when he's a terrific actor. The first time I heard him do a Poirot accent, at the auditions, I knew he was going to be gold in the rôle. The director had several people read the rôle, but it was easy to see which actor had a handle on the character and accent! And I'm not just saying that because his wife reads here. Hi Tracie! Heh!
The people I work with commented today that I am much less grouchy than I was last week. I hadn't realized I was grouchy, but it was another symptom of "Hell week." Once that first weekend of performances is out of the way, the costumes have not self-destructed, and everyone has (more or less) remembered their lines, it's much easier to relax.
Having Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off is rather nice, as well!
