The Infamous Tinfoil Hat
Here it is--the tinfoil hat. This is a new pic. I saved the hat. It has a bit of dust and a few cobwebs, but it's still here. I am of the opinion that anyone who frequents crime message boards and such needs one of these to repel the rampant idiocy expressed there.
There are rules. You have to make your own hat. Only you know what you need. That's the only reason that such hats are not mass-produced and sold on Ebay!
Having recently seen a woman actually walking around in public with foil in her hair from a bleach job (gave me a turn, I tell you!), I've conceived a new design. I'll make it and post it when I get the time.

Vero, we are going to have a go at making the hat, and my sister said that she is going to try and make a strawberry shortcake dress to go with the hat, she is going to do the dress in alfoil and the strawberries in red and green foil. We have a month to do it, so wish us luck my friend.
ReplyDeleteGo for it! Send me pics, and I'll post them!
ReplyDeleteRonnie, I enjoy your blog very much and reading the comments about your love of the theater. I, too, am a lover of theater and try to get into NYC/Broadway as often as I can. I also support and attend our commuty and highschool plays.
ReplyDeleteYour contribution and hard work, in keeping your community theater alive, reminds me so much of Joanne Woodward (one of our "locals") and how she has saved our communty theater, The Westport Country Playhouse.
Several years ago, because it was in such poor and outdated condition, the town wanted to tear it down and sell the property to contractors, who wanted to build million-dollar condos.
Like you, Ms Woodward fought with all her might to save our beloved Playhouse. Over the years, she has been a Member of the Board, the President, Chairman, Director, Actor. She has pitched in to help as seamstress, renovation teamleader, Fund Raiser Chairperson, ticket-taker, custodian, etc.
As of June 2005, when the multi-million dollar renovation was completed, the Playhouse re-opened. We now have fantastic AC, a heating system that works, no seats with blocked views, and a beautiful garden.
The wood flooring from the old stage, where so many famous actors started their long stage (and movie) careers, was saved and reused when building the new stage.
Joanne Woodward is now stepping down as President, (or something like that)and I guess will join her husband (in retirement).
Ms Woodward and her family have been living here, in the same house, since before I moved here, from Calif, 30 years ago.
She, her husband and their children have always been visible in town, at the markets, town functions, the schools and have been "just regular folk".
And like you, she also has been seen making and selling sandwiches (and lobsters dinners!)......
at town fairs and other fund raisers!
I admire and thank both of you... and "Mr. Ronie", too, ... for your devotion to Local, Town, Community, Summer Playhouses.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment!
ReplyDeleteI am very humbled that our efforts should be compared to those of such a luminary (and personal favourite) as Joanne Woodward! But, in my small sphere, I understand what she has been doing there.
Thanks again!
