The Deer and the Kitten
Achilles likes to play with the deer. One of the teachers at Husband's school asked us if we could take him. Her niece had found him, and couldn't keep him. He was a tiny kitten with a limp. We took him to the vet, who told us he needed a pin in his leg. We wound up paying $450 for the surgery. The vet, bless his heart, only charged us half price, because the cat was a rescue. He's still the most expensive cat we own!
He must have been abandoned or lost at a very early age, because he does not speak Cat. He wants to play with all the grown cats, and pays no attention to their hisses, growls, or other attempts to discourage him. As you can see, he has no fear of deer.
